FLAC to CAF

Upload an FLAC audio file and save it as CAF for players, messengers, editing, publishing or archiving.

FLAC is a free cross-platform audio codec format created in 2001 by Josh Colson and Xiph.Org. The name of the format is an abbreviation of the English phrase Free Lossless Audio Codec. When compressing a file into the FLAC format, it is 50-60% of the original file without loss of sound quality (especially when working with voice recordings). When unpacking such a file, absolute originality is respected. Since the format is free and open, it is supported by almost any software, it is perfect for archiving files and for regular listening to digital recordings.

CAF is a highly specialized audio file format. It was developed by Apple Computer, its name is an abbreviation for Core Audio File. It is a container format for audio files. CAF is distinguished by its large size from many other similar audio file formats. At the same time, the compression ratio is, on the contrary, much less than that of files of a different format, which allows compression without loss of quality compared to the original. The disadvantages of the CAF format are that not all popular players support it, and therefore such files need to be converted.
